If your life were a book, and you were the author, how will you want your story to be written?
Times come in life when everything meets something- a limit which you will either break or let it break you.
The triumph story is told of female snowboarder who had her feet amputated as a result of a blood bacterial infection that left her disabled on the part of her leg below her knees. She'd always dreamt of living in a wonderful place where it snows. With this fate, it was like all had come to a stand-still: it was a border for her; a limit that should keep her down for a very long time, but she wouldn't let it. She wouldn't be broken by the limit, but rather got her strength in it. She answered the question on how she wanted the story of her life to be written.
Break the limits, and don't let it break you, through these:
Look at the brighter side in every obstacle. Amy wouldn't look at the fact that she may not live to fulfil her dream with her amputated legs, but rather saw an opportunity to get several pairs of legs that could fit into any shoe, and could make her look tall or short depending on how she wanted to look. There's always a light over every barrier; over every limit, but how we look through the limit determines if we would see the light
Let your passion drive you. When you let your passion drive you, you will see yourself doing the extraordinary. Nothing's more powerful as passion. Passion synchronises your biceps and brain cells to work. Passion has momentum enough to get you to work. Plunge into your passion, and feel the surge to break through your limit! Amy did: snowboarding was her passion and she wouldn't let her legs stop her. She went ahead to make a pair of legs that would give her that snowboarding experience once again, and in the end she emerged a celebrity medalist against her limit.
Third, keep your eyes on the target. Be more interested in the products rather than the process. How it gets done shouldn't be a concern to you, but what gets done. What do you want to be remembered for? what impact do you want to make? These are what matter, and how it gets done is non of yours to determine; only let your passion drive you while you keep your eyes on the target
Lastly, understand you are your only limit, and you only can be your obstacle to hitting your target dream. No one has responsibility of your life except you, and the sooner you acknowledge that, the better for you.
You can break the limit or let it break you.
If your life were a book and you were the author, how would you like your story to be written?

Inspiring!

ReplyDeleteTo this I say, your life *is* a book and you *are* the author. Each day, each moment is another page. The challenge is to find your voice. To tell your story, live your life in your own words, not those of someone else. How do you find your voice? By speaking up and speaking out. This is what you are doing. :-)
Thanks Mr. Paul...never saw this until now. You've played a part in all of these
