A journey to repositioning started three days ago, and can be read: #1 and #2
Once you got you cardinals, you got your road maps. The next move is setting SMART goals.
The goal setting becomes easier, because every goal now becomes a function of your cardinals. There's no more mazing and scattered goals.
Your goals should be:
Specific, not general
Measurable, not exaggerated
Achievable, not mere dreams
Realistic, not illusory as a mirage
Timed, not without a time range
If your goals are to be specific, they hit the nail on the head. You cannot set a goal to have academic success, but you can set goals to read minimum of two hours daily to bring about that academic success—being specific. You don't have to set unlimited exaggerated goals or so much goals: it leads to frustration. Make sure your goals can be achieved, and make sure your goals are realistic. For every of your goal, give it a time frame: that's what makes it a goal and not a dream.
